WHIMSY & LEAVING A LEGACY

Roger Brown - President of Berklee College of Music

Episode 134 | Roger H. Brown

I think it’s important to talk about how Berklee, as a world leader in education, is adjusting to keeping their students safe and on course as they continue their studies. We also explored Roger’s personal journey from Georgia to Kenya, Yale to Sudan, to 16 years of guiding Berklee and how this last year of his presidency is nothing like any of us ever could have imagined.

President of Berklee College of Music

Since his appointment in 2004, he has overseen the creation of the world’s largest online music education system. He cofounded Bright Horizons Family Solutions in 1986 with his wife, Linda Mason, and served as chief executive officer until January 2002. Roger has led Berklee during a period of unparalleled expansion that has included the Power Station at Berklee NYC, Berklee Global Jazz Institute, Berklee India Exchange, Berklee ICE: Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship, and the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice.
